Help guide

Step-by-step help for every DismissedOnTime tool. Search, or choose a topic. This guide opens in its own tab, so you can keep it beside your work and close it any time.

Getting started

Start here

DismissedOnTime helps you finish your paperwork on a phone or a laptop. This guide explains every tool. Keep it open in its own tab while you work, and close it whenever you like with Close help at the top.

  1. Enter your details once. On the homepage, go to My details and fill in your name, school, main class and school head. Every tool reuses them.
  2. Open a tool from the homepage, under What it helps with.
  3. Fill in the boxes. Your work saves on this device as you type. The preview shows the finished page.
  4. Save a backup file when you finish. Most tools have a Save file button.
  5. Print it for your principal, or download a Word file.
Keep this guide beside your work. Help opens in its own browser tab, so it never covers or dims your tool. On a laptop, drag this tab out into its own window and put the two windows side by side. On Windows you can press the Windows key with the Left or Right arrow to snap a window to one half of the screen. On a phone, switch between the two tabs.
Your work stays on this device. It is saved in this browser, not on a server. Clearing your browsing data, or working in a private window, can remove it. Save a backup file now and then. See Keeping your work safe.

My details

Your name, school, class and signatories appear on almost every form. Type them one time in My details on the homepage and every tool picks them up.

What you can save there

  • About you: full name and position.
  • Your school: school name, school ID, address, district, Schools Division Office, region, and an optional school logo (PNG or JPG).
  • Your main class: school year, grade level, section, and subject or learning area.
  • Signatories: school head (noted by) with position, and an optional checked by with position.

What happens inside the tools

  • A box that matches something you saved is filled in for you and hidden. A blue note at the top of the tool says Using your saved details.
  • If you left a detail empty in My details, its box stays visible in the tools so you can type it there.
  • Grade, section and subject only start from your main class. They stay visible so you can change them when you teach another section or subject.
  • To change a detail everywhere, change it once in My details. The tools update.

Backup and shared computers

  • Save a backup file and Open a backup file move your details to another phone or laptop.
  • Press Clear my details when you finish on a shared computer.

Go to My details

Features every tool shares

Saved items and files

Most tools keep a list of saved items, for example one lesson plan or one class list each. The bar at the top of the tool controls them.

  • The drop-down list switches between your saved items.
  • New starts a blank one. Duplicate copies the one you are on, which is handy for a similar lesson or another section. Delete removes the one you are on, after asking you to confirm.
  • File name is optional. If you leave it empty, the tool makes a name for you. The ending (such as .lesson or .action) shows next to the box.
  • Save file downloads the item you are on. Save all downloads every saved item in that tool. Look in your Downloads folder.
  • Open file brings a saved file back. It is added to your list, and nothing you already have is overwritten.
A file opens only in the tool that made it. A lesson file opens in the lesson plan maker, not the action plan maker. If you pick the wrong one, the tool tells you.

The Class record, Report consolidation, Inventory and Memos and certificates keep one working copy that saves automatically, so they have no saved items bar. Use their Download buttons to keep a copy.

School heading and signatures

School heading

The heading at the top of the printout follows the DepEd letterhead layout: Republic of the Philippines, Department of Education, then your region, division, district, school name, address and school ID. Your school logo, if you added one in My details, appears on the left.

When you saved these details in My details, the heading boxes are hidden in the tools and filled for you.

Noted by

Tools with a signature block let you choose who notes the document.

  • Pick a saved name from the list, or choose Others (specify) and type a new one. New names are saved on this device so you can pick them again.
  • Choose the position. It prints under the name. Choose Others (specify) for a title that is not in the list.
  • Remove this name from the list deletes a saved name you no longer need.

If you saved a school head in My details, the signature box is hidden and filled in for you.

Typing tips

  • Enter jumps to the next box in most tools. Shift+Enter goes back to the previous box. In large text boxes, Enter still starts a new line.
  • Paste a list of names. Where you see Add names or Add learners, type or paste one name per line. A list copied from a spreadsheet column works.
  • Suggest buttons write a starting draft. In the lesson exemplar builder, Suggest fills only the empty boxes and never changes what you typed.
  • Every draft is yours to edit. Read it before you print and sign.

How the tools work together

Some tools reuse what you made in another tool, so you type each thing once. Make the first one, then use the button named in the table.

Make this firstThen use it in

Where your work lives

Everything you type is saved in this browser on this device. Another browser, another phone or another laptop does not see it until you move a file across.

What can remove it

  • Clearing browsing data, cookies or site data.
  • Working in a private or incognito window. Nothing is kept after you close it.
  • Phone cleaner apps and browser resets.

Make a backup

  • In tools with a saved items bar, press Save file for the item you are on, or Save all for everything in that tool. Keep the downloaded files somewhere safe, such as a flash drive or your email.
  • In the Class record, use Download Word or Export CSV. In Report consolidation and Inventory, use Download CSV or Download Word. In Memos and certificates, memos can be downloaded as Word.
  • Your details: use Save a backup file in My details.

Move to another device

Open the same tool on the other device, press Open file, and choose the saved file. Do the same for your details with Open a backup file.

On a shared computer

Save your backup files first. Then delete your saved items and press Clear my details so the next person does not see them.

Tools: Class records and grades

Class record and grade computation

Type your scores and the grades compute as you type, using the SY 2026-2027 grading rules.

Open this toolWorks with: Report card and school forms, Honor roll and proficiency levels

Steps

  1. Check the School heading and choose Portrait or Landscape for printing. If you saved your details, the heading is already filled in.
  2. Pick the Learning area. It sets the weights for written works (WW), performance tasks (PT) and exams. Choose Other to type your own weights.
  3. Choose the Conversion of Initial Grade: adjusted transmutation for SY 2026-2027, or zero-based (no transmutation) for SY 2027-2028 onward.
  4. Type your class details, then add learners with Add learner or Paste names (one name per line, such as Dela Cruz, Juan).
  5. Open the Term 1 tab. In the Highest possible score row, type the highest score for each column. Then type each learner's scores.
  6. Do the same for Term 2 and Term 3. The Final grades tab shows the three term grades, the final grade, the descriptor and the remarks.
  7. Press Print, Download Word or Export CSV.

Good to know

  • Count blank scores as zero is ticked at the start. With it ticked, an empty box counts as zero. Untick it to skip empty boxes.
  • A * beside a grade means it is provisional, because a part of the grade has no scores yet.
  • Kindergarten and Grade 1 use descriptive grading, which this tool does not cover. Always check the result against the official DepEd order and your school's rules.
  • The class record holds one subject at a time and saves automatically. Import it into the Report card before you clear it or reuse it for another subject.
  • Clear all removes every learner and score on this device. It asks you first.

Report card and school forms

Enter grades, or bring them in from your class record, then print a report card for each learner or a class summary.

Open this toolWorks with: Class record and grade computation, Learner profile and masterlist, Honor roll and proficiency levels

  6. Under What to print, choose a report card for each learner, a class summary of final grades, or the learners with grades below 75. For report cards, pick one learner or all learners.
  7. Check the preview, then print or download the Word file.

Good to know

  • Import matches learners by name, ignoring capital letters and extra spaces. Learners found in the class record but not yet in your list are added.
  • A learning area shows Incomplete until all three term grades are in. The final grade is the average of the term grades entered.
  • Use your school's official form when it is required.

Troubleshooting

Fixing common problems

My work is gone

Check that you are in the same browser and on the same device you used before, and not in a private window. If your browsing data was cleared, open your backup with Open file. See Keeping your work safe.

A box I expected is missing (name, school or signature)

It was filled in from My details and hidden. Change it there. If you clear that detail in My details, the box comes back in the tools.

The tool starts with the wrong grade, section or subject

They start from your main class in My details, and you can change them inside the tool for another class. Changing a saved item does not change My details.

Open file says the file is from another tool

A file opens only in the tool that saved it. The ending of the file name tells you which tool made it, for example .lesson or .action.

Import says no class record was found

The class record has to be saved in this same browser on this device. Open the Class record, enter or check your scores, then try the import again.

Some learners did not get their grades

Import matches learners by name, ignoring capital letters and extra spaces. Make the names spelled and ordered the same way in both tools.

The printout has extra text at the top or bottom

Switch off Headers and footers in the print window. See Preview, print and Word.

The Word file looks a little different from the preview

The Word file is made from the preview. Open it in Word and check the layout. For the exact layout, print to PDF instead.

A grade has a star (*) in the class record

It is provisional, because a part of the grade (written works, performance tasks or exams) has no scores yet.

A report card learning area says Incomplete

It needs all three term grades. Enter the missing terms, or import them from the class record.

Suggest did not change my text

Suggest fills only empty boxes and never changes what you typed. Clear a box if you want a new suggestion for it.

My device says it is out of space (narrative report)

Photos take the most room. Press Save file to keep a copy, then remove photos you no longer need.
